Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for the successful planning and delivery of the project(s) and ensuring the appropriate level of governance is followed
- Ensuring that the products required are produced to the standard of quality expected and within the specified constraints of time, quality, and cost
- Taking full responsibility for the definition, documentation, and satisfactory completion of medium to large scale projects
- Identifying, assessing, and managing risks to the success of the project
- Proactive RAID management
- Managing a network of resources in support of project execution providing effective leadership to the project team
Essential skills:
- Practitioner certificate in PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification
- Proven and demonstrable experience of project delivery in a similar environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Skilled in information technology including application and infrastructure environments
- Ability to communicate complex, technical processes to non-technical business stakeholders
- Proficient in MS Project
- A comprehensive knowledge of relevant development lifecycles including agile
- Strong understanding of principles, methods, techniques, and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through to implementation

Desirable skills:

We are looking for a permanent Support Engineer who will be critical to this fast-growing company’s success in delivering large scale data integrations and migrations in the cloud.
You will be working initially on a large data integration and data migration project providing 1st line support which will involve monitoring and resolving components in AWS environments. Once live, the role will require you to be part of an on-call rota to undertake out of hours activities and provide cover for support of the data service.

This role is part of the Landscape Assurance Team that provides ongoing support services to the Police National Database (PND). This role will:
- Provide an assurance and compliance assessment of information held on PND that is uploaded from local systems.
- Develop an interactive analytical product to enable feedback between and to forces and support the programme ambitions.
- Work with all data providers (police forces and law enforcement partners) to improve data quality and legislative compliance of information held on PND.
- Ensure that PND maximises its potential as a key enabler for intelligence led policing and law enforcement.
