Isabella Johnson made a welcome return to time trial competition for the Datalynx – Parenesis Cycling Team in the a3crg Glorious Goodwood closed circuit event, finishing in 13th place with a time of 29:22 for the five laps of the famous circuit, totalling 19km.
Of course, this season has been severely affected by the COVID-19 outbreak, and the lack of racing has forced Isabella – who finished second in last year’s British Best All Rounder competition for junior females – to adjust her targets. Isabella and her teammates have behaved responsibly during the crisis, following government and British Cycling guidelines throughout the lockdown period. Whether sport or business, both team and sponsors Datalynx and Parenesis are serious when it comes to social responsibility, including endeavouring to keep the public, team members, clients and staff safe, and the team is proud to support Prostate Cancer UK.
Izzie should be in action closer to home in Suffolk next week, when she is due to compete in another time trial.
